Oh, the lack of enthusiasm I have for Valentine's.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not single and bitter, neither am I a sore cynic nor love's skeptic.

I do believe in love and in fact, am an idealist towards it.

My idealism deters me from settling down, for fear of making a lifetime's mistake.

I often tell my friends, "be my neighbour! so someone will realise when I'm dead and alone in my flat".

Yes, I'll die an old spinster, preferably with a lot of cats. Call me the crazy cat lady if you will but I shall not sully the holiness of a marriage and defy the sacred vows with the increasing trends of divorce.

If I do marry, I'm either taking my soul mate to heaven or following him to hell.
Not even death will do us apart.

Yet, heartbreaking stories of betrayals causes me much disillusions.

I fear, more than I can love.

And for that I'd much rather be alone. Free of love's restraints and woes.

I shall travel to wherever I'd wish, and walk on whatever path I'd want. Last but not least, perhaps I'd be selfish to say so, but sometimes, there's simply too much responsibility to bear in a committed relationship.

I have lost the ability to demonstrate my emotions through sweet whisperings, gentle caresses and warm embraces.

Nonetheless, I still thank God for sending me love in the form of many people.
While damaged, I know I am not lost.

The road to healing is a long and dull one, but I'm sure what lies at the end of this road will be filled with more bliss than I can imagine.

I just bought a tub of ANTI-AGING day cream recently.

Yeah, you saw right - ANTI-AGING.

I spotted wrinkles on my forehead the other day and that's when I knew I could not deny my age any longer, sadly.

I dragged my feet down to the nearest pharmacy and sobbed as I reluctantly picked up...

I was between choosing Olay and L'oreal. I finally decided on L'oreal when Kai pointed out that the Olay ambassador is Hong Kong superstar Maggie Cheung while endorsing L'oreal is the one-third of Taiwan's SHE, Hebe.

Well, I'm obviously the target audience of the younger ambassador, no? LOL.

Oh man. This aging thing is really getting to me.

Anyways, Valentine's Day is just next week!

Here's my new diet.

The Maxitone Sculptress Weight Loss Diet.

Watsons currently retails an introduction bundle at around SGD109. The bundle consists of one 700g tub of Sculptress Shake, one box of Sculptress Tablets and 3 Sculptress Bars.

It's essentially a meal replacement cum protein shake.

I reckon if Fay Hokulani is taking this, and if the diet pulls through, I should be as hot as her right? LOL. Although it's kind d'oh since she is the Maxitone Ambassador... What else would she take if not Maxitone products?!

Nonetheless, worth a try, right? I'm pretty desperate so...

The bundle also includes a brochure detailing a suggested meal plan!

I find it a little unsuitable for me so I tweaked it a little more to my liking.

Anyway, here's my meal plan.

Morning (on waking): 1 x Sculptress Tablet
Breakfast: One spoonful cottage cheese
Mid-morning snack: One serving of Sculptress Shake
Lunch: One serving of Salad/ Vegetable
Mid-afternoon snack: One serving of chicken breast
Evening (before training): 1 x Sculptress Tablet
Dinner: One serving of Sculptress Shake

I'm hoping to see some results in a week.

Counter-Strike Online

I'm gonna put my food diary on hold cause' I'm starting a new diet on Sunday.

Let's hope this new diet will work! I will share with you more on it when Sunday comes.

Meanwhile, I've been playing Counter-Strike Online for the past month.

I know, I'm in it slow. And I'm not a good player as well. =(

For those who don't know, Counter-Strike Online is a mass multi-player online (MMO) game that is based on the world's most popular first person shooting game (FPS) game - Counter-Strike Source, more commonly known as CS.

I've played CS in my younger days. Or more specifically my secondary school days. Man, I feel really old just thinking back. I guess you can't count me as an avid player but I played occasionally. Well, mostly for social reasons. It was pretty much the "in" game.

CSO offers up to 6 different modes of gameplay -

Original

The Original game mode where Counter-Terrorists (CT) and Terrorist (TR) pit against each other in a race of time. The objective is to defuse/plant a bomb or wipe out the enemy numbers to win.

Deathmatch

The Deathmatch game mode award victory to the team that racks up the most number of kills in the duration of match.

Adding a twist to this classic FPS, CSO introduces the mindless living undead into the gamplay.

Zombie: The Original
Zombie: The Mutation
Zombie: The Hero

Also, for once, I get to be a female character in CS! Or rather CSO...

I know there's a lot of competing FPS MMOs like AVA, Combat Arms and Blackshot. But so far, CSO has been fun enough to keep me hooked for a month and counting (I have extremely short attention span towards games).

Speaking of which, I really need to improve on my Kill-Death Ratio.

Taking baby steps

Sundays are cheat days. So I get to have my cakes and eat it. (Though it's been pointed out that it seems like I'm cheating everyday. LOL.)

STILL...

My first meal of Sunday - MecKid and Magnum flavour from il Gelato di Bruno.
I can't seem to resist it whenever I walked past the gelato store while on my way to church. =(

And this...

... is my first proper meal of Sunday - Marutama Ramen at Suntec City.

After service, I had some Gong Cha (Earl Grey Milk Tea, 30%, no topping).

Feeling a little sinful just recalling my first 3 meals on Sunday because my 4th meal came in the form of...

Vanilla Yoghurt (Blind Date size) from Frolick at Illuma, Bugis.

Giant spotted at FilmGarde!

5th meal (also my dinner) came late, since I caught an evening flick with the Meh, Cheerleader and Chubs.
Indulged in beef soup, fried chicken bits and eggplant from Lai Lai Casual Dining along the Liang Seah Street.

That sums up my diet (or rather non-diet) for Sunday. Yes, it was horribly indulgent.
BUT IT IS A CHEAT DAY LEH!!!

So, I was determined to make today's diet extremely strict. AND IT WAS!

Meal #1: one cup of Meiji Low Fat Milk
Meal #2: 2 boiled egg whites and 1 whole boiled egg
Meal #3: one cup of Meiji Low Fat Milk
Meal #4: Gong Cha Melon Milk Tea, 30%

NOT TOO BAD RIGHT? =D

Okay, I'm late for my food diary. So here we go.

Thursday:
YES, I DESERVE A LECTURE FOR THURSDAY.

Being sick at home, I was too lazy to cook nor to buy something decent for myself. I survived on my remaining 8 Redondo wafer sticks and 2 spoonfuls of low fat cottage cheese.

I did have a proper dinner of half a chicken chop and 3 pieces of popiah.

FAIL.

Friday:
Friday was slightly more successful. Trying to adhere to having 5 small meals a day, I had 2 pieces of boiled chicken breast, 1 egg white and 1 whole egg staggered through the day.

Dinner was, however, a tad sinful.

1 quarter of an okonomiyaki, and a mouthful of beansprouts, chicken and salmon.

Considering the success I had for Thursday, Friday seems like a good attempt.

Today:
Had brunch with the cousins whom I haven't seen in a long time.

Burly Benedict from Hatched.

I only touched the greens, poached egg and wagyu corned beef.
It was pretty okay. But I'll definitely prefer Wild Honey at Mandarin Gallery any time of the day.

Some Shihlin XXL chicken cutlet followed a couple hours later. Then, a cup of low fat yoghurt.

Last meal was a drumlet from McWings Meal. Just one.

Not too bad, I guess.
Let's hope I do way better tomorrow. =D

Campfire in my head

So I'm officially down with fever, sore throat and a nasty blocked nose.

That shall not deter me from my diet!!!

Had a bunch of cauliflower, cabbage and sweet & sour pork from the Cai Peng stall downstairs.

Took me almost 2 hours to finish my lunch with my sore throat.

Dinner was mongolian deer meat and some egg white from this dinner pack. No rice (carbs) for me!

That's about all for my meals today.

I did cheat a weeny bit with one Redondo wafer stick and Cherry Garcia from Ben & Jerry's.

Argh. First day diet already fail.
Need to try harder tomorrow. =(

This CNY, I spent almost an hour attempting a Michelle Phan tutorial on replicating's Angelina Jolie's look in "The Tourist".

I was having A LOT of difficulty matching the similar colour from my Sephora to her Lancome.

With all those vanity talk, I'm feeling like a whale after all the reunion dinners (plural, mind you).

A sick whale, in fact.

I will super duper resolve to get back on my diet starting tomorrow! (I don't know how many times you've read this already. =p)

It's my zodiac year this 2012 - the Dragon.

Though I must say I'm quite caught between loving and hating it.

I love dragons (asian ones). I have my ink and gloves to prove that.
But sadly, they say that you will always have bad luck in your zodiac year. They call it fan tai sui.

Well, not that i'm superstitious about it (I believe that no matter what year it is, God will make it good for me). Just saying, y'know?

I've been more weary than I should be for far too long.
Am I even supposed to feel such darkly grim at my tender age?

Going 'home' is good. Being closer to God has made me happier than I thought I would be.

As Jesus has promised, I do feel a little more rested now that I have resolved to practice God's word.

At the risk of sounding like a fanatical ~~cultist~~ devotee, I am slowly picking up my life that was in shambles and I feel empowered to do so by my renewed faith in God.

Most definitely, I have felt a tingling of God's work through my loved ones. Somehow, you just know that they are being sent to you, to help you heal. You might say that I'm bring too much into the context but hey, always better to have more reasons to give thanks than less, right?

While I can't say that I'm happiest where I am now, I know I'm making my way there.

Faith. A simple yet powerful emotion to have.

Should your soul be as heavy as lead, I pray for you to have a little more faith; to believe in the love of God, and those who are sent to you as well.

I passed by Delicious at Scotts Square and couldn't resist going in for a little piece of heaven.
The Tiramisu was so-so while the Sticky Date Pudding rocked. I loved how they serve the caramel and vanilla ice-cream separately. In that way, the Sticky Date Pudding doesn't turn the ice-cream into a pile of milky goo before you even attempt yoru 5th spoonful of pudding goodness.

Republic Polytechnic Open House 2012

On 7th January 2012 at 1200 hours, The Fight G team was mobilized and deployed to Republic Polytechnic...

Starting the day with our usual warm-up routine.

It was Republic Polytechnic's Open House event. With Fight G starting muaythai classes at RP, we conducted a muaythai demonstration at the concourse area outside the One-Stop Centre.

Though the turn up at RP was not particularly ideal, we still attempted a serious effort in showcasing what our typical routine entails.

Low, 'The Monk' was my partner for the first part of the demonstration...
Until I got sent to be the emcee for the event. =.=

WITHOUT A SCRIPT! FML.

Fortunately, I scrapped through.

I say goodbye to 2011 with a little sadness and a big sigh of relief.

2011 hasn't been kind to me, nor to some of my friends. Misfortune and death has plagued us mercilessly.

When it rains, it pours.
What can go wrong, will go wrong.

That's how it has been.

That's why I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a better 2012.
Keeping faith that I will rise out of this rut and also praying for those in need.

New Year's Eve was rather eventful compared to my usual routine of rotting around at home.

Christmas Love

So, yes, fuck my life. My wallet is still nowhere to be found.

The ironic part is that I lost it somewhere around my HDB block. I'm still hoping for the neighbour who found it to return AT LEAST my IC to me in the graciousness of the Christmas spirit.

Nonetheless, I can't say that my Christmas has been entirely fucked because I'm still feeling lotsa luuuuurve from people all around.

From Flowerboy, I received my first Christmas gift!

Stop laughing at my no make-up face. I know I look very different without make-up. I should seriously participate in those Taiwan variety shows where they get girls to do the "before and after make-up" segment.

I call it the Flowerboy Cardi cause' he loves wearing the same styled cardigans. His verbal note that came along with this gift was - be more feminine.

From Meh, I received the most timely and consoling gift.

Knowing that I'm ~~quite~~ very depressed over my loss, he brought me around for purse-shopping when we met up for dinner on Boxing Day.

Everyone say awwwwwwww now!

So this Christmas, I give my thanks to God for sending such lovely friends to me. When everything seems so bleak, I see a little hope from those who have extended kindness and warmth to me.

Materials aside, I also give my thanks to Han and Monsterling for sharing their sentiments on God's faith with me, renewing my debilitating sense of hope and belief.

I probably haven't been the most religious person around. While I have always acknowledged God's presence, I've denied salvation due to self-damnation.

I was stubborn and self-reciprocating. I believed for the longest time that God has (or will) forsaken me for the sins that I have committed and abandoned me to my deserved darkness.

By a twist of epiphany, I have learnt to accept that God is forgiving and that I should forgive myself because He has forgiven me.

Despite that, being mired in this unfavourable position is eating my faith away. The faith that tells me everything will be alright is faltering under this accumulation of malaise.

But I will continue to believe... AND BEHOLD! A CAMWHORE PIC OF MYSELF!

FML = FUCK MY LIFE.

After an epic night at Chips with Fight G last Friday...
I went home, woke up with and hangover, lazed around my bedroom, prepared for my annual family christmas dinner and realized to my horror...

I LOST MY FREAKIN' WALLET.

I clearly remember putting my wallet into my bag after alighting from my cab ride home. Drunkardly, but also clearly.

It's almost like it vanished into thin air.

I know that losing my wallet is a small affair... if it isn't piling on my already snowballing woes.

Now I can't stop looking at wallets despite knowing that I can't afford a single one.

But it's okay. I'll have to stay strong. Especially when so many are showering me with support and dispensing whatever advice they have to offer.

I can only think of one, when I hear songs like this.
After all these years, it's still the same person I'd always think about.

Probably my deepest regret in my life.

The silliest thing I've done was to let pride get in the way of something so precious.
While I may not have been the best he ever had, he is surely the best for me so far.

Perhaps the only one I've ever truly loved.

I know he's very happy right now... with someone new, no less. With all my heart, I do wish him all the best blessings in the world. For all the love and joy he has brought to my young teenage life, I wish him eightfolds of the smiles he had put on my sullen face.

But I'm not fretting. I'll find someone like him, or even better, someday.

Think again.

Meh (Yes, that's my nick for him cause' he's like a lamb, characteristically speaking) made the mistake of casually commenting that he's so famish he could finish a Giant Yankee Burger.

My immediate response was: Are you sure? I CHALLENGE YOU TO IT. BUMP MY FIST TO ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE IF YOU DARE. *puts up my fist with smirk face*

And so, he made the second mistake of bumping my fist.

Because neither of us expected this:

My 3rd year with Tilt at Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2011 as official photographers for the annual event.

After hours of walking/running (yes, running! we need to at certain places at EXACT timings) under the DAMN BLOODY GRUELING Sun, we became tanned... a lot. Well, just a little for me since I smacked on tons of sunblock. =D

Another year of SCSM with Tilt. Another year of fun. And now, we prepare to welcome Christmas... and bid farewell to the 2011.

It's a belated post but...

HAPPY 23rd BIRTHDAY TO MY BFF - BEI!

Unfortunately, due to certain work issues, I was unable to get her a decent gift this year. Hence, I resorted to a good old birthday treat for her flat flat tummy (very flat liao, please stop dieting, you bitch! make me jealous only!).

We've been in love for a decade now...
She's by far the most committed relationship I've ever had. LOL.

After much contemplation, I decided to bring her to PS Cafe at Palais Renaissance.

We had the Miso Cod and Roasted Chicken to share.

For the price tags at PS Cafe, I am contented to have found out that the taste and quality justifies.

I thought that the Miso Cod was better while Bei preferred the Roasted Chicken.

Such are the subtles that says a lot about our differences. But despite the polar opposites, we find it in ourselves to embrace, accept and love.

10 freakin' years and still going strong.

If there's gonna be anyone whom I could trust my life with, it'd probably be her.

Changeability

People change. All the time.
Whether for the worse, or for the better. We change.

Do remember when was the last time you were the 'old' you?

Sometimes we change slowly, through the subtle influence of the environment. Other times we shed our skin in a rush to cope with a dramatic turn of events.

I vaguely remember my childhood when I was young and blissfully ignorant.
Then came the salad days of teenage angst - young, rebellious and confrontational. Those are the day that we remember most vividly. The time of our youth.

Since graduation, I have taken several transits and turns at life's junction.

And I am no longer who I was.

Everyday, we take a step towards change. Perhaps, I can even say that I'm not the same as yesterday.

Most have commented that I used to be far more cheerful, boisterous and energetic. The operative words here are "used to".

Today, I've been described as zen-like, "don't give a fuck", lacking in general expression and somewhat stoic.

Have I changed for the better or for the worse?
Whichever the category I'd fall to, I'd say I change to adapt, I change to cope. I don't need to know whether if I'm doing it right or wrong cause' quite honestly, it's has always been me against the world.

I'm doing it alone, so I'm doing it my way.

But if there's anything that's to remain constant...

At River's wedding last night, Senz (my head coach) gave me the biggest startle of the night.

Senz: *Sadako! When you wanna fight?
Me: Huh? Me? Seriously?
Senz: Ya. When?
Me: Erm... When I'm good enough for it?

*Sadako is my gym nickname from Senz. Reason being, I'm fair, have long black hair and look terribly dishevelled and ghastly at trainings.

I felt my heart stopped when Senz popped that big question to me. With my current standards, I know there's NO WAY I can take part in competitions.

But by posing this question towards me, I feel like my efforts, while they have not paid off, they are being recognized.

I'm not in the gym for a good work-out. I'm in it for more. And it feels good to be seen that way.

Anyways, I must say, I'm totally lovin' the Memphis Maxi from Love Bonito which I wore to the dinner.

Preeeeetty preeeeeetty dress.

Now, I just need to lose ALOT of weight to rock this dress.

My diet isn't working! Uber depressed.
And my workout is constantly affected by injuries! Got shin splints for the past week so I had to put off cardio. Argh.

Perspective Film Festival 2011

Film buffs alert!

Perspective Film Festival 2011 came and went last weekend.

After reading A Clockwork Orange couple years back, I've always wanted to watch the 1979 adaptation of it.

CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW SUPER HYPED I WAS TO KNOW THAT IT WAS SCREENING AT THE FILE FEST! OH MY TIAN!

And, and, and! *drum roll*

UNCUT VERSION LEH!!!

Joining me in the crazy trip down Stanley Kubrick's dystopian "future" (not really future for us anymore since it's a 1979 film and it's like 2011 now) is my fellow act-like-very-artsy-farty fella, Flowerboy.

The emcees, giving us a brief introduction to Perspective Film Festival and A Clockwork Orange.

I was quite surprised by the amount of turn-ups.

I guess our local artistic scene isn't that pitifully obscure after all!

The film was not bad. Only "not bad" cause' I thought the novel was far more exciting. I'm sure I would have loved the film if I've never read the book itself before.

I'm finally getting back to my training regime after 2 weeks of rest (thanks to the troublesome eye infection). I think my joints has rusted after 2 weeks of COMPLETE inactivity.

Tried running with Flowerboy today and I am ashamed to say I only managed to complete 1.5 round at Yishun Park.

T.T Pathetic.

I'm setting myself up for 2 sessions of training tomorrow. Especially since the gym won't be opened this Saturday. That's gonna put me out of sparring for the 3rd week.

Urgh. I'm so getting trashed at the next fight class.

That said, I seriously need to put more discipline and effort into my diet plans. I have been far too lenient and flippant with what goes into my mouth.

Today shall mark the 1st day of my super strict diet plan, reinforced with an iron will! Friends, if you are reading this, please help me out by not tempting me with sinful indulgences.

Goal? To be 2kg lighter by next Sunday.

A locker full of cobwebs

As I've blogged about in my previous post, I went through a minor surgery on my eye recently.

Due to the small gaping incision on my eyelid, I can't do any shit that will make me perspire and risk another infection to my eye.

Which also means that I have to pause my training at Fight G for two weeks.

TWO.
FREAKIN'.
WEEKS.

I can feel the rust in my joints already and I bet cobwebs are gonna be all over my locker by the time I'm able to resume training.

I guess meanwhile, I'll focus my free time on developing the Fight G web and some weights training.

I'm no angel. Never was, never will be.

It's almost as if I was born with evil in my veins. Darkness presides in the core of my heart.

I don't enjoy it. I fight this menace in me everyday, in attempts to do good, or to do what is right.

But we all falter.

I've performed countless acts of stupidity, made my choices impulsively and put myself into unfavourable positions.

And due to the aforementioned, I've suffered a lifetime of misunderstandings. Well, almost.

They (by they I mean people in general) seem to share the hobby of putting tags on me. I guess that's what people always do - stereotype.

I've been smacked with labels like - party animal, social butterfly, high maintenance, prissy, whorish, lian and well, you get the idea.

I can't really blame them for it either since I choose to make them think that way. I have an apparent penchant of influencing people to think otherwise of me.

Call me silly but I'd feel uneasy if one could see through me with little effort. I'd prefer to surround myself with loved ones who are able see past my facade, and embrace the real me. So, I play my worst card. Like they say, "if he/she can't stand you at your worst, he/she surely don't deserve you at your best".

And yet, I feel sorely disappointed when those that I hope to gain understanding from, fail to see me for who I am.

Besties aside, it is unfortunate for me to confess that only one boy came close to my raw-est form. But I lost him, no thanks to my stubborn pride.

Today, I still stand prideful.
I feign indifference.
I play the bad girl.
I refuse to clarify.
I deny my true thoughts.

But for sure, when I fall for the next real boy, I'd make sure for once, love will conquer all. Including my biggest sin - pride.

Honestly, I have no idea what's the central plot of this entry. I suppose I just needed to rant.

Simple or mundane?

I've been out of the party scene for a month now. Most of my time is going into lessons and trainings at the gym. And no, I'm not sick of it yet. LOL. In fact, it's pretty amazing how it grows on you.

I've started competitive training on Saturday mornings. Man, I'm quite the lowest life-form there, taking hits from the guys (whom 95% of them has at least one fight to their belt).

Oh well, I guess I'll get there someday. Meanwhile, I just gotta toil through. And that includes work as well.

This Friday will be my last day at work (thank god!). It hasn't been exactly smooth-running around there so I do hope that I'll find my new family at my next job wherever I'll be.

As depressing as it is, I'm glad for the love all around me.

Here's a homemade Bailey's Cheesecake for Monsterling's super duper belated birthday feast!

With more than 300ml of Bailey's in this cheesecake, we have decided to call this just Bailey's cake witha hint of cheese. And of course, we also concluded that you should never get an alcoholic to whip an alcoholic dish.

But I insist that the more Bailey's the better!

I've been eating a lot lately (again).

Well, in my defense, how can anyone resist such yummies?!

Behold! Food from Soutpat's hometown. It's my first time trying burmese cuisine. I quite like it - well, except for the fermented shrimp paste that tastes funny.

My favourite dish, mohingar, is missing from this shot.

People, if you ever pass by Peninsula Plaza, get yourself some mohingar. It's some fish and banana chowder/soup thingy. It's really good!

Ramen lovers would recognize this from far.

As usual, the toroniku is a must! And with firefighter tastebud like mine, it's definitely the kara-miso broth for me. As for my lunchmate, Soutpat thought that the neighbouring Marutama is better.

Well, I suppose they have different wins. Santouka's toroniku is doper than any meat Marutama has while Marutama definitely serves up victorious noodles, broth and the heavenly ni-tamago.

I guess its Santouka 1 Marutama 3 then. MARUTAMA WINS!

OKay, now I'm just making myself hungry for some Marutama.

To their credit, they do serve pretty decent buffet lunch and dinner.
But breakfast? You're better off savings your bucks for Swee Choon down the road.

Lazing on sands

I can't really remember when was the last time I went Sentosa on a bright sunny morning. As I recount, my guess is probably 6-7 years ago.

Yes. It has been that long.

For those who don't know, I have major sensitive skin. I'm pretty much allergic to stuffs like:

Cheap metals
Ya, don't buy me fake/ costume jewellery! I'd know if you try to pull a fast one on me with one.

Hair dyes
The most sickening of all, considering my vanity. I have to endure weeks of itchy scalp whenever I decide to colour my crown of glory.

Sun
Yeah. That's why I don't tan, nor do I like the Sun a lot. I get freaking rashes and red patches on my body whenever I'm harshly scorched for extended time. Thankfully for new SPF130, I'm quite safe from turning blotchy as long as I pile on the sunscreen generously.

Despite my sensitivity to the Sun, I bravely gamed myself for a trip down the beach at Sentosa (Did I mention I'm also hydrophobic?). Arming myself with heavy protect against the sun (SPF130 rocks!), I trooped down to Azzura yesterday with my Fightgees - (clockwise) Minah, Cheerleader and Soutpat.

The first thing I said when I saw the beach - "OHHHHHH!!! *excited* SAND!!!!!!"

Soutpat looks at stone as ever. While Minah... she's not really malay. LOL.

Soutpat got high on beer and started talking to us about some floating tank in Phuket that makes you fly like a G6.

Cheerleader, Minah and I was very much confused and amused. Not sure which is more though.

Cheerleader talks non-stop. I swear he'd die if he went mute one day.
Lose a leg, he'll live. Lose an arm, he'll still live. Lose his chords? SURE DIE.

It was a very lazy afternoon.

We did nothing but snack, booze, people-watch and nap underneath the clear blue skies.

It sounds boring but it's really quite good! It's pure relaxation~

I'm so gonna do it again! But I'll need another bottle of SPF130 before that. LOL.

On 4th June 2011, my dearest love, Michelle Leong is from here on known as Mrs Ng, wife of Eu Khim.

Taking on the role of the wedding planner and jiemei, I woke up at 5am with only 2hours of sleep from the previous night to prep for this grand day of reunion.

Oh what joy!
As she walked down the aisle, I swear I could feel myself choking up. But nah, I didn't cry. I just got really really touched. =')

My loves from Tilt were, of course, there as well!

Downed few glasses of wine, effectively breaking my resolve for cutting back on alcohol. But what the hell, celebrations come first!

So, I've been missing from the blogosphere for quite a while.

There isn't much to blog about when life's been pretty mundane.

I've moved on from PARKROYAL on Kitchener (more on the corporate horrors next time) to a creative agency. Yes, I am back to doing account servicing. Hectic life but hey, I guess that works for me.

I've stopped my rabid partying and binge drinking. ALCOHOL FREE FOR 2WEEKS AND STILL COUNTING. Go ahead, you can make a bet to see if I pull through for the entire month. =D

I've been letting myself indulge, numbers on the weighing scale spiralling outta control. It's getting too depressing. So, I'm making the final resolution to lose the flabs within the next month; whether by hook or crook, sports or crash diets, I'm gonna dump these fats.

I've been keeping myself busy with Muay Thai, and companionship of my gym mates (which from here on and in future posts, shall be termed as fightgees). I must say that I'm gradually falling in love with the art of thai boxing. From twice a week, to 3-4time a week. And trust me, if I could go everyday, I would!

So there you have it. My recent happenings in a nutshell.
I hope there are still readers actually reading my blog. LOL.

Following the devastation left on Japan by the recent earthquake and tsunami, PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road has partnered Singapore’s leading blogger management agency, Nuffnang for an initiative to contribute to relief efforts for Japan’s natural disaster victims.

The initiative, “Ganbatte! Japan”, is fundraising event that will include participation of famous bloggers such as Qiuting aka Bongqiuqiu, Esther aka the-miracle-season and Yutaki James. LOL. What a religious opening for someone like me.

For those who don't know, I'm a lapsed Christian.

My entire family from the paternal side has been Christians for 3 generations. So yeah, I used to attend Sunday church with my family and relatives.

So what happened? Well, I guess I grew out of it. Not out of God. Just out of Man. No offense but, I don't really trust pastors and preachers these days. Seems like the entire belief is slowly being commercialized into "paradise for sale".

But you know, that's just me. That's what I'm seeing.

I know deep inside my heart, no matter how angry I get with the world, there's a sparkle of hope and God. Even if most of the times I am quite deep-set that God has forsaken me for the crazy things I have done, I guess I still believe somehow.

And I wonder if the signs I've been seeing for the past 3 weeks were passed from Him.

God, is this your way of teaching me?

These signs have inspired me to be a little braver, a little stronger to confront my fears and past. I will stand my ground and not run away.

Because now I know, if I run, I'll never be found.

Am I a better person now? I am not sure.
Only time will tell.

Okay, so here's my last day in Bangkok.

Shopping destination: Platinum Mall

Again, other tilt minions have went back with an extra luggage full of loots. Me? Another 4 pieces ONLY.

WTF?! Seriously, I had a super hard time shopping in BKK. Nothing seems to appeal to me.

Oh well, style differences perhaps. I was so mad that I went into a hotel, tapped wi-fi, and starting blogshopping with my iPhone.

LOL. Please don't roll your eyes at me. I NEEDED TO BUY SOMETHING DESPERATELY.

If you ask me, what was most memorable about the trip isn't the shopping. It's the part where I freakin' WALKED WITH RED SHIRT PROTESTORS.

With this, I am now officially not Tilt's anymore.

Yes, I bid my bittersweet goodbyes.

Tilt has been really awesome. My colleagues were awesome, my bosses were mega-awesome. We went through a great deal together and quite honestly, I felt that our bonds went beyond the office and came close to my heart.

It was a struggle to leave Tilt but hey, I guess we all gotta move on.

I was editing photos and halfway, I began to feel really really lazy. So, I've decided to simply chuck everything into my flickr. =D

Day 2 in Bangkok was largely Chatuchak day.

Man, I know people who would kill to spend the entire weekends there to clean out the market with buys but me?

After half a day at Chatuchak, I told myself I will never be back there again. Well, at least not soon.

It's crowded, it kinda stinks, Snack vendors try to drive their cart into the tightest alley and the weather's scorching hot.

Best of all, while everyone lugged an extra luggage back from Chatuchak, my spoils were only 4 pathetic tops; 2 of which was for the Boy.

Win? Epic fail.

New starting fresh and new for 2011, I've changed my blog template... again.

Still work in progress at this stage but I'll work on it.

Beside my blog template, I'm also getting a wallpaint for my bedroom. But what the hell, my dad got the painters to come in at like 7plus this morning. Who the heck paints that early?!

Can you imagine waking up to 5 - 6 painters in your pyjamas? Fuckin' irritating. I had such a hard time looking for my shoes under those messy blue sheets.

This post is pretty random but I'm gonna blog about it anyway.

I was reminiscing about 2010 and I realised...

I HAVE AWESOME FRIENDS.

Not that I've only realised it now. I mean, I knew it all along but 2010 reaffirmed it again.

Thinking back, I've been shown more love from friends than family and lovers did. Really, friends can be so much more sweeter and close to your heart than anything else when you've got the right scooby gang with you.

Through my worst moments, it was no one else but those tight-knit few that stayed by me.

When I am all wrecked and bleeding to death, I know a friend who would put down everything and fly like a G6 to save my dying soul.

When I am ill and too weak to get food, I know a friend who would do me a free food delivery.

When I have fallen down the deep emotional trenches, I know a friend who would try with all might and dry wit to cheer me up.

When I suddenly break down in tears, I know a friend who would pause work just to take me out for a walk.

When I am recovering from physical tolls, I know a friend who would attempt to feed me with all kinds of tonics.

There's really so much more that I can list, but well, you can the gist. LOL.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

My last day of year 2010 was well-spent at Steph's crib, welcoming 2011 with not-so-much food, lots of singing and a whole lot more of booze!

I have almost 70 photos of the house party. Wayyyy, wayyy too much to post everything up here.

Looking back, I have been down all the way to ground zero in 2010 and I'm quite glad that I have picked myself up from it (of course, with help from loved ones).

Now, I'm looking forward to a wicked 2011.

Away with the lousy ex! Away with inner demons! Away with retarded clients!

Anyways, I didn't make any resolutions last year. But this year, I'm setting myself a few goals to stick to with burning determination.

1) Get my driving license.
2) Maintain an active lifestyle of exercising at least 3 times a week.
3) Enrol myself in a degree course before 2012 comes.
4) I wanna travel to Taiwan!
5) Adopting the habit of being punctual for work.

Alrighty. There it is - five goals to achieve in 12 months.

1) Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2010 (SCSM2010)
It's here again! It's my 2nd year participating in SCSM as part of the photography crew. This year, I was stationed at Maxwell Food Centre; not very far off from the starting line. Had fun as usual! Looking forward to next year!

2) Booze night with Rolly Bao
It's been such a long time since I had booze night with Bao! Shared tears, joy, laughter and loads of beer. We even got a free tower from friendly strangers! We're such lucky drunkards.

3) My super duper belated birthday present
With love from Bei, Kai and Kee Nee... here I have my spanking and super cherished FCUK watch. XOXO

4) Strawberry Cheesecake?
I'll blog about this in a separate post. It's too much fun to be summarized!

5) The beef stew is without mustard
I tried my new recipe on a bunch of lovely guinea pigs - Boyfriend, Steph, Kel, Pete and Jesper. They claim it's good but THE BEEF STEW WAS WITHOUT MUSTARD! The very essential ingredient which I failed to buy from Hougang supermarts. I need to petition for import of grain mustard! Unfortunately, I am not a Hougang resident.

Dinner was hosted at Pete's place, followed by wines and usual pubbing. OH! THE LOVE I HAVE FOR WINE!

6) Bei's 22nd Birthday
A surprise party from her doting Boyfriend to her. Ahhhhh.... This two make me diabetic. What sickeningly sweet couple. LOL!

7) Rainbow Xiao Long Bao
The much hyped about multicoloured dumpling which I finally got to try. I feel like a village idiot for only trying this right now. Verdict? Stay away from the gray one. The rest are only either okay or good. The XLBs aren't giving me as much of an orgasm as the 红油抄手 pork dumplings. MAD AWESOME! MUST TRY!
